Engagement with music has the power to build confidence, develop practical skills and give young people a new outlet for their focus and talents. Ensemble experience does this, and more! This is why, every year, we bring together over 2,000 young musicians from across Birmingham, to form over 95 ensembles that are specifically designed to cater for all genres and abilities.

Ensemble members are nurtured and supported by our skilled professional tutors and conductors, developing their confidence and musical abilities, as they work towards the most memorable performances on the stages of Birmingham’s most prestigious venues, celebrating their musical achievements to packed audiences

“Through Services For Education, I was able to have free instrumental tuition, free instrument loans and access to free coached ensembles ranging from their Big Band through to their Symphony Orchestra. They equipped me with all the tuition and tools that I needed throughout my 10 years with them completely free of charge.
