Parents, How #YouCan Support Us

This year, as part of #SFECan, we are launching our #MusicCan fundraising campaign.

Behind the campaign and really at the heart of what we do at Services For Education, are the following statements…

#SFECan change lives through the power of music and learning.

#MusicCan create opportunities
#MusicCan build confidence
#MusicCan remove barriers

But this isn’t just an SFE campaign. #YouCan change lives through the power of music too, by supporting SFE’s Music Projects.

How #YouCan Support Us?

As parents, you’ve seen first-hand the difference #MusicCan make in your child’s life.

You’ve watched their confidence grow, their excitement before a rehearsal, and the pride they feel after a performance. Music doesn’t just teach notes and rhythm – it builds friendships, resilience, creativity, and memories that stay with them for life.

At Services For Education, we believe every young person deserves the chance to experience the power of music.

What many people don’t realise is that Services For Education is a registered charity and our Music Ensembles are delivered free of charge. From instrument loan and repairs to expert-led rehearsals and inspiring performance opportunities, we work with thousands of young musicians across Birmingham every week.

But we cannot do this alone.

To keep our Music Ensembles alive and thriving, we need the support of the very people who see their value most: parents and carers like you. Your involvement helps us continue to provide life-changing musical experiences for your child and thousands of other young people across the city.

There are many ways in which you, as parents and carers, can get involved and support us:

#YouCan Donate

Every gift, big or small, helps us provide life-changing musical opportunities for children. You can make a one-off donation or set up regular support at the click of a button – simply use the ‘Donate’ button below or click here to make a difference today.

#YouCan Become a Friend of Our Ensembles

By making a one-off annual donation you can show your support in a special way by becoming a Friend of Our Ensembles. Not only will you be helping our young musicians directly, but you will also receive exclusive SFE and Ensemble gifts as a thank you. Click here to find out more.

#YouCan Offer Company Support

Do you own a business, or know someone who does? By working with us – through charitable donations, sponsorship, or even sharing specialist expertise – #YouCan have a powerful impact.

Parents like Paul Painter have already done so, and their support has raised valuable funds and opened new experiences for our Ensembles. Read Paul’s story here.

#YouCan Volunteer Your Time

Your time can also be a valuable gift. From welcoming guests at concerts, to running a refreshment stall at rehearsals, your involvement makes every event more special and helps raise vital funds for our Ensembles.

Together, we can ensure every young musician has the opportunity to learn, perform, and thrive through music.

Will you join us in supporting the future of music for children – including your own?
